" while the first run of the 500 B/S knives were the same size, shape, weight and design as the standard ATS-34models........." March 2001 Tactical knives magazine

is this true?? from all the pictures i saw the first production model (especially the tanto blade) seems to have a shorter and "fatter" balde shape than the ats-34 version? the ats-34 version seems to have a much slimmer blade shape...

i also note on the first production knife there is a strider logo on the left side of the blade, do the ats-34 models get "buck USA" instead? what about the "Paul Bos" stamp? is it on the ats-34 models?

thanx
steven from NZ

Hey Steven.
My Buck/Strider SP has the Strider logo on one side and the Bos flame logo on the other. It's ATS-34.
I'm not possitive, but I doubt very much if there was any difference between the BG-42 and ATS-34.

oneslowbird:

i just checked on www.buckknives.com . the tanto B/S folder does have the words "buck USA" instead of the strider logo, but the sp B/S folder still has the strider folder..........so anyone know what's up with this?

alot of pictures used on the web site are 'representaive' photos. So dont put 100% in them . Use them as a guide. The Buck Strider products should all have the symbol, Bos Flame and steel mark.
Joe will probably address this when he gets back.
take care, guy
