Just kidding of course..

The night of Burp announcement I was up all night rolling through sheath options in my mind. I wanted to come up with something fun and made the Burp easy to use for its intended purpose.. parties, tailgates, BBQ's and deer camp.

I have been so busy with orders fulfillment I have not had much time for prototyping, but when the Burp arrived I had to find time to slip it in.

On this one I let the function drive the form and am fully aware it's not the nicest looking sheath I have ever made.. kind of looks like a jock strap, but it should be fun at a party :)

Perfectly safe with a double snapped retention strap that also covers the spike..

(and incidentally, she's the next generation of PirtleMade sheaths :D)

There's a 1/4-20 Tripod adapter integrated into the sheath body by way of a stainless steel barbed T-Nut, which then accepts a billet aluminum GoPro mount that can be used on any mounting device.

I wanted to get pictures outdoors by my grill, tailgate of my truck, green egg, Side by Side and fire pit to show various scenarios but it was raining yesterday, so around the house will have to do.

Once mounted you can remove both snaps from the jock strap mechanism and the open top design of the sheath allows for easy access to the Burp. Inside the sheath is a leather arch that mates to the finger choil to lock the knife in place so it won't slide out. Lift up on the grip and pull back to draw. The open top also facilitates easy cleaning after carving up the Thanksgiving bird.

Let me know what you think & thanks for checking it out :)

Warm regards brother

Very very cool :)

Wow! That is ever crazier than I could've imagined! I know what you said you wanted to do but that is out of the box man!:thumbsup:

Man Chad, great work! So looking forward to my sheath! And your daughter is adorable!

Thanks for all of the great feedback everyone.. especially the comments on our most important asset :)

Most of my sheaths are 12-14oz leather. Even the burgundy overlay on that Urban Fudge sheath is split to about 8oz.. I don't think my splitter will even go thinner than that, I'm not making wallets here.

:p
