A Busse for kids. Just a thought...

My kid is only a year old, and not quite there yet, when it comes to knives.

However, 5 years from now he should be ready for his first knife.

So, how about a Busse for kids?

I would love to have his first knife be a Busse.
Problem is, no Busses are fit for kids, sizewise.

I am thinking; thin Elmax, proper guard and small handle.

Plus a bonus for Jerry would be, that he will probably loose it within a few days, at then have me buy a new one:cool:
 
They already have knives for kids lol
My 8 year old Son has a Carecoated Shark Face Fat Ash-1, and TGm on the way lol
 
My kids both have INFIdus. The AMS is a really good one too but I wanted to have something to grow into.
 
There is a Busse for kids. HACK Bear Cub.
David Brown owns 'em all though. ;)
 
You all day MBC like they are all just out there for reasonable dollars.
$250-$300 for a knife intended for a child, no way the secondary market is too high.

Now when Boss releases the BG MBC it'll all be good.

What is the thickness of the MBC and the Smokey?

As I recall the AC is rather thick.

The most important aspect, IMO, is thickness.
For a small kid to be able to work wood, the blade would have to be really thin.
Like ScrapMax thin.
 
I just got my kids one of the TGBG. I know its big but they like the blade style. Their first knife was a TOPS XcEST Alpha. Its a short stubby knife that has a nice little survival kit with it. Great for them to learn on.
 
My daughter had a pink handled Game Warden and a Polar Vortex AMS and they were both good. Still I kept thinking she's grow out of those so that's why I went INFIdu. The kids love em. My girl is 8 and my boy is 4. I was tempted to get them the recent UGs but the RMDs are great so I couldn't justify it.

I think the MBC is about .14-.15

The Lil' Smokey is about .095
I'm pretty sure every Busse Elmax blade has been .095 - steaks, scrapmax's, AD/GW, L.Smoke, etc


Not sure what the AC is. If you meant the AD, they come in all kinds of thicknesses.

Well, if all Busse Elmax is .095 then a micro Elmax Team Gemini, choilless, would fit the bill;)

To me, a proper guard is pretty important on a kids knife.

Plus, it would look cool!
