I was on the the phone with Mike Snody discussing an order for a very cool folder. It is going to be Mike Norris damascus with mammoth ivory handles amd damascus bolsters. It is going to be very cool. I can't wait to see it when it is done.
While we were talking Mike mentioned that he had Butterbean in his shop. I am thinking he is talking about a slip joint folder. Nope!
The Butterbean that was being discussed was none other than the boxer Eric "Butterbean" Esch. He came in and picked up two knives he had on order at Mike's shop, South Texas Gear, down in Corpus Christi.
The piece he is holding is a Resistor pattern with fiddleback maple scales.
Here is Mike with Butterbean. He makes Mike look like a little guy at around 200lbs.
