..and I like it!
Having heard so much about the Byrd brand and in my continuing quest to sample inexpensive but "good" knives, I now have a Byrd Meadowlark.
For less than $24 (shipping included) I am happy to say that my initial evaluation is that all the good I have heard about these knives appears to be true.
It is very well made and shaving sharp from the package. The fit and finish appears to be as good as any other knife in that price range and better than several I have seen.
This is my first experience with G-10 scales. I may not fully appreciate the G-10, but as of now, I am not as impressed by them as many are. I am still learning about knives in general, so who knows.
I think this is an excellent Chinese product especially in comparison to many others from that country.
Thanks again to this forum for very informative and generally dead on opinions of a number of inexpensive but quality products.
