The Card: A Sincere Thanks to All of You

Each one of you has been so nice
It makes it very hard
To put so much real gratitude
Into a single card
But if each of you will read
Between the lines, you'll know
This brings a 'thank you' more sincere
Than words could ever show

From Ofelia Peasley:

A World Of Thanks.
I can't find the words to express my gratitude
for everything every one contributed to my needs.
I don't even know you, but I feel like I do, through Jerry.
He would would talk to me about his friends.
Jerry was a good man, I miss him dearly.
Thank you all so much.
God Bless everybody.

Ofelia Peasley

Feels good...I talk to my wife about my friends too... :)

Munk, if you wouldn't mind, could you check on her by mail or email every month or two and let us know if she needs anything?

Thanks for what you have done.

Steve

Steve, I was going to call her in a few days, thank her for the card, and see how she was doing.

I feel bad. They really loved and needed one another.

Guys, we had a friend (have) named Jerry Peasley. He got sick, he fought hard, he died. Throughout this process we prayed, we talked together, we hoped, and at last, mourned together and together joined to send solace to Mrs Peasley. In all of this I have been proud to be your friend, but only in that I was part of the larger group of good guys and gals. So when many of you out of kindness said, 'thanks munk" I let it go as the polite thing it was. But all the time I had a difficulty with accepting this. I didn't say anything because who in the hell am I? And bringing notice to this might even exacerbate that which I felt was not right- attention to munk. We all know I'm not the politest guy in the world, I don't get a lot of stuff, and I can be a real dunce. So I just kinda shook my head side to side.

We listened to my reports- it is only us here. Munk was just the pencil in the hands of US- and our friend Jerry.

So, have Bruise say, 'Well, OK then- no thanks to you munk!!" LOL.

THe best thing about thanking me is it brings the thread back to the top of the page.

THANK all of YOU! We did good to have a friend named Pappy. We loved life and Pappy and we helped Mrs Pappy. Thanks for being my friend, but don't thank me for anything else. Don't you know by now I'm just a thankless bastard?

Those waves of care and attention we sent to Pappy and his family had to count for something. Praise God!

You are what we commonly refer to in the biz as the "Armored twinkie"

Hard as steel on the outside, soft n gooey on the inside. ;)

Ya done good, doing the expediting.

I'll have the khuk out in about 11 dayz, sorry 4 the delay

Keith

Thanks for your work, Keith. Don't worry about any darn delay. I just really wanted to see what the blade looked like.

that Raffle can buy. Here's my write up to the winner, RioJim:

"The siru as it arrived to shows very little blade wear, as been honed sharp
and even, comes with an old style tooled leather scabbard (no brass tip),
even cantle to the spine from bolster to tip. It has a very sword-like
dimension to the point...It is a nice older Bura siru, from before his stroke. The bevel matching and general lines of the blade are top notch!"
