"A CARE PACKAGE FROM FINLAND"

Around the end of the year I had gifted Will Power Will Power a couple of knives. Will warned me that he was planning to reciprocate. A couple of weeks ago he emailed me that I was to expect a package. He and I were both getting concerned but the package finally arrived this week.

The package contained a very special group of goodies from the gentleman from Finland. The contents included a nice hand written note, 4 coins from Will's native Finland before the Euro, a post card, and a beautiful magnetic photo of a Eurasian Eagle - Owl. My wife has quickly claimed this and it has a perch on the side of our fridge.

Oh yes, before I forget, the knife contents of the package. First up we have a beautiful Le Theirs folder. This is a large folder with beautiful black Ebony handles. The fit and finish are excellent. The first time I have ever had one of these in hand, I am impressed. Will explained that it was excellent for food prep in the kitchen or on picnics and such. The second knife is a gently used Schatt & Morgan #99 Harness Jack. It is Green Jig Bone and 1095. This knife is extremely well made and the fit and finish is excellent. Looking at this example it makes a person think what could have been.

Will I can not thank you enough for this my good friend! :)

Good going guys! If either of you ever considers a 2nd career please look into international diplomacy. ;)
 
You're having a good week indeed, Ron. Congrats on the goodies and what a cool package Will! I really like that post card. And the beautiful knives, too, of course. :)

Thanks Charlie! Will told me it was one of your SFO’s but I wasn’t sure of the number. It is well made and the F&F is excellent. A nice solid knife, I’m proud to get it! What year were these made Charlie?

Thanks everyone, but thanks most to Ron whose style and behaviour is an example to everybody. Genuine not pretend.

Just a few items from me as I was moved by Ron's altruism on many levels. The fridge magnet has Bubo bubo the Eagle Owl our largest Owl and I've been most fortunate to see one at 4a.m. one sunny summer morning (Midnight Sun is payback for the eternal dark we endure Nov-Jan) They are huge with a 1.80m 6' wingspan:eek::D
