A Case for Christmas

With some of the money I got for Christmas from grandparents I treated myself to a Case pocket knife. At this point the only stockman that I had from Case is an Amber Bone one with SS blades. I looked around and feel in love with this Pocket Worn Red Bone medium stockman that just begs to be carried. The major difference between it and the Amber Bone is the fact that this one has some major brass liners on the inside. I always thought it was strange how my Amber Bone had three springs and very little brass, this one has lots of it and boy does it shine! I do have one complaint though, the springs on one end are not even and one is even lopsided (cut), plus some areas are not pinned together as tight as they could be but that's ok too. None of this hinders the knife performance, walk and talk is great.

Drop it in your pocket and use the heck out of it. That's what it was made for. Great knife!:thumbup:
 
Congrats on the new present... I had one one time that had the same issue.
It didn't effect the knife any, but it drove me nuts knowing it was there.
If it gets any worse, send it to Case and they will fix it up for ya
 
Got another question, why is it on some knives when a knife has a blade open the spring does not fit flush? Is it common on some knives and not on others?
 
I have many Case knives that do not have a straight cut on the spring so it does not meet tightly with the spine of the blade in the open position. I have a long tail C tang stamp peanut that has a great fit/finish, but most of my Case knives do not meet up tight or fit precisionly. I do not have a problem with the spring not being flush when open, they seem to be ok in that respect.
