A case for my Cases’

Since I’m beginning my knife collection, i figured I need a place to store and display them.
So after a trip to Hobby Lobby and Lowe’s, and a few finishing nails, I finished a wall mounted magnetic display cabinet.

21 more knives and it will be full.

Thank you. I learned that I don’t like staining wood. I get too many runs. Gluing leather to the front of each shelf is sooooo much easier.

Nice display case for your Case Knives! I worked in a cabinet shop once, while out of college for the 1975 summer break, the old master cabinet maker (Walter - a very good gent) taught me to stain using rags - never use a brush (except to get some stain on the wood). Old cotton t-shirts, cut into rags, work best. You did a nice job. OH

You flaw is noted and plans are in place to mitigate the issue.

There are hinges on the left side, and a magnet holds the door closed. When I get home take a pick of it open so you can see.

Here is a pic of how it’s hinged. The magnets that keep the door closed are just strong enough to keep it closed so that when you open it, the knives don’t fall over.

Not a big Trapper fan, But will definitely get a few Stockmans.
