Okay men, what do you consider a "centered" blade?
Below I have a few pictures of an EKI that I feel has a centered blade. If you compare the distance between the side of the blade to the inside of the liner (non locking side) I notice that the distance remains about equal for the length of the flat portion of the blade.
I have other Emersons that are dead center and others that sit closer to one liner or the other. Do you all think that this knife would be considered "centered" or not?
The pivot screw is as tight as it is going to get. There is no blade play open or closed.
I was thinking about this recently...and really I have been thinking what does it matter if it is "centered" as long as it is straight. Then I look at the locking side which also looks about straight with the blade (and that is at an agle
) So tell me, what do you think? Plus if the two washers are the same thickness how could there be differences on either side if it is straight?
I tried to get an angle that shows what I am talking about:
