I'd been wanting to get nice piece from Joel Chamblin for awhile but just hadn't pulled the trigger. At the Solvang Show I went directly to his table and was lucky to get this Gunstock in black lip pearl. This has a gold shield and pins, fileworked case.

I need more slip joints!

Very nice Win. I guess it pays to be fast and to have a plan at the shows. Can you get a shot of the filework?

Beautiful slippie Win. Terrific pattern. Show us some more pics if you can.

Funny how those things just slip in. :)

Joel's work is hard to beat. Congrats!

Beautiful catch Win. I really like black-lip and gold on fancy ones and Joel blends the mix well.

Thanks for all the kind words, I'm sure Joel would be appreciate them. It does pay to have a plan at shows, lately, seems the only way to get a knife!

Here a couple of other pics,, I'll have to try to do better on the filework.

Beautiful knife, Win. I love Joels work myself. How about a "review" after you carry (?) it for a while. I'm wondering if it feels bulky, sits right, whatever. Mike

Great score, Win.
Joel's work is first-rate, and he is very easy to do bidness with.
