I am rapidly approaching 13k posts and it's been a while since my last cutlery donation on this forum, so here we go:
I'm giving away a KaBar 1217 -- the venerable USMC knife pictured below. (I'm keeping the slip joint pictured with it)

Rules:
To enter, post up a picture of a KaBar made knife in use -- bonus brownie points for artistic layout and/or good scenery in the background. (yes, this is a blatant attempt on my part to find new computer wallpaper)
by entering, you are stateing that you re over 19 and it is legal to own this knife where you live.
have at least 10 posts in the Kabar forum.
Have at least 500 posts on Bladeforums or a paid membership or have been a member of BladeForums for at least 2 years.
Yes, this is open to international members, but if the knife is swallowed by customs in your country, I'm not sending a second one)

Large Bowie as the BK2 always by the fire disappeared yep 2 weeks later when cleaning the ashes BK2 found No Handle's just Steel

I'm in for a chance at the 1217. Especially if it's the discontinued low grind variant.

First is my BK2 showing off how sharp it is.


And my BK9 ready to take down an annoying tree.
 
Great GAW. Not an entry, as I already have 5 or 6 of these. Could always find a use for another, but.....:D

Great GAW, Erik. Thanks for the chance - all the Ka-Bars I own look nothing like the F/U....mostly they're just the "U" variety.

I'd'a entered, but I have a couple already and was leaving it for someone who doesn't already have one to win. I did make a post though. Maybe lots of people have them and are thinking the same.
