REPLACES "THE MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION "
THESE CHILDREN NEED OUR KNIFEMAKERS' COMMUNITY HELP!!!
I HAVE SENNT THEM AN EMAIL AND WILL EITHER BE DONATING A KNIFE OR SELLING ONE ON A CHARITY AUCTION AND DONATING THE PROCEEDS TO A WORTHY CAUSE. THIS IS A CHANCE FOR US TO USE OUR GOD GIVEN TALENTS TO HELP THOSE WHO ARE LESS FORTUNATE.
OUR HELP COULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN A CHILDS LIFE.

Mike,this sounds like a great thing.I donate a knife every year to the Key Training Center for the Retarded.My sister lives there and it is a wonderful place.I would like to donate a knife to this also.Should I send it to you,or to Hunt of a Lifetime?Please let me know.Dave
 
I really don't have any details yet, I just emailed them today. I would say though that the best way would be to contact them directly. If you look at their web site they ahve phone numbers and email address for us to use.

I got an answer from Tina at the http://www.huntofalifetime.org. She said that we could donate a knife and they would either give to one of the children or put it in their floor raffle that is held every August to raise money for the hunts for the children.
You can specify which you would prefer if you want to. I will be sending them a knife next week and told them to use it in the manner they thought best. God has blessed me with two wonderful sons who are both grown now and on their own, but my first grandchild is due in February and I can't wait for that.

I really appreciate you posting this. This is a good opportunity to give something back. I will be contacting this organization. As a side note folks, from what I understand, the Make a Wish Foundation no longer sponsors hunting for terminally ill children so this organization will fill that void.

I put their banner on my links page. It looks like a great organization. I am trying to start an iron in the hat drawing for it in one of our forums. We'll just have to see what comes from all that.

Mike, I think this is a great cause and am going to get with them about donating a knife. Thanks for letting us know about this. You are right, God has given us a talent and we need to give some of that back. Mark Hazen
