So today i realized something. The Offset is no longer at the TOP of the list of my favorite knives. It is now number two.

what took the number one spot? The Lahar. Kinda surprising, kinda not to those of you who have watched me over the past year or so.

This Christmas season/first of the year area, i will be sending my Lahar out to get new scales put on it. All told, when it is finished, i will have spent nearly $200 pimping it. When finished however, it should look like a custom.

I wish i could do that to my offset, but i dont have the money for it and nobody wants to deal with the double speed safe cut outs. The Lahar is so simple and straight forward that nobody minds working on it.

Allow me to give you the run down of my Lahar's transformation

First, back in Aug. or so, I sent it off to Tom Krien. He worked his magic on it and gave it the most wicked edge i have seen on a knife.

Second step is what i have mentioned above. Todd *shadetreephilonics or something to that effect* here on the forums will be making the scales. a nice Carbon fiber mix

the third step is taking the knife to Richard J. and working on giving the entire blade a mirror polish. Thankfully, Richard is close enough to where i live that i can actually take the knife up personally.

so as you can see, i love the Lahar. it is a great knife for the money. now to get my second one :p

And we get to see pics? Congrats on the life changer. Can't wait to pick one of these up.
