A cheap Q36 alternative?

Hi, I've been looking for a new EDC recently, and RJ Martin's Q-36 flipper really caught my eye. Unfortunately, I can't afford to spend $500 on a knife.

Are there any flippers or spring assisted knives that are similar to the Q36 that I can find for under $100? I prefer knives with metal handles, I'm not a big fan of G10...Since I can't find anything like the Q36, I've been looking at the SOG Twitch 2 and XL and the Kershaw Shallot and Leek for a while...is there anything else I should look at?

Any suggestions? I hope this is the right place to post this...I guess most of my knowledge is in balisongs right now, but I'd like to get into all knives too. Thanks!

Why not try to find a used or like new Kershaw Volt?

That's a good idea. I've seen a few blemish models sell for about $125 - $150. I will say though that there is the Q-36 and then there is everything that isn't a Q-36. Take that for what it's worth.

In your price range, you could always look at the RJ Martin-designed Kershaws, like the Groove, Zing, Nerve, Chill, and Volt II. They all have G-10 or plastic handles, so they aren't quite what you want, but as far as form and function go, they're all great.

Otherwise, the closest you'll get is a Kershaw Volt, which is just above your price range.

Yeah I've looked at the Volt too, it's pretty awesome but just a tad expensive and a little harder to come by. I'll still keep an eye out for a cheap one though, thanks for the suggestions!

The LE Volt from Kershaw, as already mentioned, is probably the best bet......IF you can score one that is.

Having had a Devastator, I would also echo the above sentiment, that "there is RJ Martin, and then everything else!":D
