A Chinook I would like to see

I was fondling my Chinook and could help but think how good some filework would look on those liners. Then I started thinking how good it would look with some wood scales. If the back of the blade wasn't chamfered I wouldn't mind a little filework on there. Just a thought. :D

Putting my extreme case of Spyder envy, based on the fact that you, Dennis Bible, have your Chinook II, while mine is still in transit, aside for the moment, it sounds good to me. :D Do recall Sal saying that the liners had been lightened, not sure if they were lightened enough to affect the strength if you substituted wood for the G10, but, if that were the case, bet wood over thin CF would work!

You are going to love this knife. I am amazed how smooth it opens. I got out my Spyderco persian and it is considerably stiffer than the Chinook II.

I just think since the Chinook is a folding bowie it would be nice to have a "presentation" grade of it. :D

Agree 100% Dennis, for that matter a presentation grade Persian would be nice too. Have a major Jones for one of them in stag and had to see what it might look like so... I grabbed a pic of a regular Persian off NGK's website, played around a bit with it in Xara X, and came up with the attached. Tell me what you think (other than that I'd starve to death as a graphic artist). :D
