We were getting ready for Thanksgiving and our friend was helping us out. She needed a pair of pliers so I handed her my Leatherman KICK. After she borrowed it a couple of more times she threatened to keep it. So I am thinking that she gets one or something similar for Christmas. Is this the best, inexpensive multitool out there or are there others that I should consider?

Anything Leatherman is worth considering. I'd strongly consider a Juice S2, or a Fuse. If it's for a lady, anything with scissors; it's been my experience that ladies use them much more frequently

Agreed. You can't go wrong with a Fuse.

I was going to recommend the Kick but chris is right about the scissors. I'd still recommend the Kick just because it's my favorite :)

When it comes to multi-tools, the words "best" and "inexpensive" rarely go together in my experience. My female employees mostly prefer lighter tools like the Swisstool Spirit, the Gerber 400 series, or the Leatherman Fuse or Blast. Some of them carry full size tools like the Wave.

Leatherman Squirt PS4. Or Leatherman Juice S2. Or Juice XE6.
Decently Small, Come In Pretty Colors And They All Have Pliers And Scissors.
