A classical friction folder (Piemontese)

For once, i change a little with a friction folder.
I come back to holiday saturday in the night, and i beguin to work on that one sunday at 10h50. I finish it today at 18h20.

File blade. (1095) with selective oil hardening. The handle is in oak and cedar. Steel pivot pin and copper pins for the handle.


Weight 35 grammes
Blade 9 cm without tail (10,5 cm with tail ) usefull 7,6 cm.
Open 19cm.
Closer 12,6cm with tail.
Thicness 1,6cm.

He is sharp but not rasor sharp because i stop the sharpening to take the photo

There are two hardening line. That is strange. I dont know why but the result is good.

On the other blade side, the hardening line is better drax.

For once i make other knife than bali, what do you think about it ?

I like it, with the wharnie blade real practical to use. I also like the choice of materials you used to build it.
