A compact minimalist sheath for X7

Hi People,

Can anybody recommend a simple sleek aftermarket sheath (in leather or Kydex) designed specifically for the Fiskars X7 hatchet? But here's the ugly "qualification" ... I live in the Canadian boondocks and so it has to be bought online ... because Canada Post's shipping costs would be about $14 for a tiny 4 oz sheath if the package is more than 2 cm (4/5 of an inch) wide ... and so it has to come from outside of Canada.

I can afford it, but CP's shipping rate is so obscene and I will not surrender to it ... out of principle. I once mailed a small 2 oz Mini-Griptillian to a friend 700 miles away in Manitoba in a barely padded envelope the size of a normal wallet, and removing the belt clip beforehand lowered the postage price from $14.34 to $1.90!

Also, I live in SW Alberta ... and could retrieve it in person ... during my usual wanderings.

Thanks!

I can relate to living remotely and having no easy access to stores...(moreover,i've no electronic means of payment, and you'd hardly believe just how quickly all your friends get sick and tired of your requests to do it For you,it's a nuisance for Everyone involved:).

I'd recommend a simple wooden blade-guard cut out of a softer scrap, with an elastic band or just a piece of string lashing it on.

Alternatively, nowadays we're surrounded by large quantity and selection of MUHW-type polymers, they're all very handy and durable thermo-plastics.
Much of this good stuff is coded by color-black,blue,yellow,red,are all the "good" ones:)
Easily moldable by means of a small propane torch flame,or even hot water.
Just bend one to enclose the axe-head,and carve it to shape, maybe stick in a fastner or two.
With some luck and imagination it should be fairly easy to approach that Kydex action,if so desired...
