I've followed the advice and expertise of you Boys for a long time. You've helped shaped the way i approach sharpening. You've made me better, no doubt. The knowledge I gained here is unparalleled. I'm a chef, so I'm on more the sharpening, dutiful, useful, everyday seel than most of of you. I own more stones than a quarry, and more steel than most makers offer. That said, I'm uneducated in the world of special, collectible knives. I've acquired some special blades I think some of you collectors might be interested in. I'd be glad to upgrade my membership, to have a private discussion. I'd rather not have this public. I'm really just looking for some guidance from those that know more than me. I think I've got something special. I've been around knives and sharp things my whole life. These are something else. Please advise or tell me to pound salt.

Cheers,
Steelboy

If you want to have a private conversation, buy a membership and use Direct Messaging.

Going to move this to Tech Support.

Membership upgraded. Ask away. The "SKY" is the limit, Chefget.

I heard you guys were tough..I'm tough, too. I want these knives to go to someone who appreciates them. Im no ebay guy.

Please Forward to Chefget. I think he'll be interested in what I've found. These are beautiful examples of Bob's work and they are pristine. From at least the late seventies. I'm pretty sure they have have his edge on them. Razors. I'm amazed at the sharpness, and I'm no slouch. I only hope to sharpen steel so good someday.

All you need is any paid membership to DM, but to sell or ask questions about pricing you need a gold or higher

If you're trying to get a bunch of people to message you about your secret knives, it's probably not going to happen. Saying you have some "special, collectible" knives is not a draw.

Instead you might consider doing what everyone else does. Buy a gold membership so you can sell, take a good read through the selling rules, then take good pics, write a good description, and put them up for sale.

I apologize for being such an asshole. It's not really me. I had a few whiskeys. I did sign up for gold. I would expect notihing less. Please forgive me. It may or not happen again. I'm kind of known for pissing people off. It's a character flaw. I hope you understand.

Thank you. I again apologize for my cryptic drunken messages. Thank you for putting me in touch with The Chef. We've touched base. Again I'm so sorry, to have caused a ruckus. I appreciate your patience.

Thanks,
David
