Just got back, thought I'd post up. Spend 3 days in this canyon, 12 miles the first day, 13 miles each day, for the next 2 days. Came out at Lee's Ferry. Last day was pretty hard in the full sun, not real difficult hike, in and out of the water after the first 7 miles. Finding springs along the way to get water. Tried to setup a BK11 on the molle straps of my waistbelt. First was a taco style that I didn't keep the spine close to the fold and it was a fail. The second one pictured worked but took up too much space and did not work out a planned. Tried to mount a molle lok without using an adapter plate to keep it simple and small. Didn't turn out that way, locks up tight though, just too big for a small knife.

Didn't mean to offend, thought if it was about the outdoors, would be relevant, as I have seen folks post stuff here. You are correct no becker content, I would remove the post if I could

Just edit your original post, and add a Becker knife photo. This is a Becker specific forum. There's an outdoors forum as well.

Great place you visited, with or without Becker, I enjoyed the shots :D

Great Photo's here the Becker Content

That looks like an awesome trip!

OK how about this to give it at least a little Becker content. Did you bring a Becker knife? If so, which and what did you do with it?

If not, what knife tasks did you do that you would have done with a Becker knife and which Becker knife would have best suited the task?

Added some becker content to the fist post, I'll be re doing the BK11 sheath to try and get it right the 3rd time.

Thanks man. I'm not trying to be an ass, but that's what the mods always said before I became a mod. Has to have Becker content. That said, cool looking place You guys are making me want to get out again. Since I bought my cabin, I haven't been doing hardly any outings at all. A shame really.

I use a PUR hiker Pro filter. They were bought out by Katalyn a few years back, still the same product though. Filter looks like something you use under your sink but smaller, not cheap about $35-40 bucks a pop. I mark with a sharpie, little ticks on top of the filter so I know how many days I have used it. After this trip it needs a good cleaning cause of all the silt/sand in the water, even when pumping by the springs. If it feels restricted, I'll chuck it, can't risk it failing on the next trip, when we travel across the country to spend 7 days in the high country or the desert. Normally, I'll go about 15 days of usage before changing it out, that's pumping for 2 people approx 4 liters a day.

No offense taken, Wasn't thinking just wanted to show I was out and about. Paria River is special place, some people say a life list trip, I must be doing good since it was our 3rd time there over 15 years.

I'm going to check out the PUR Thanks. I have nothing but good things to say about my Grayl press filter. But I'm always looking to improve

Absolutely Gorgeous Rocks milkyeye! Thanks for sharing

Good stuff there milky; those canyons are amazing. Thanks for the pics.

...and I’ve got the same water filter as well. Probably 15 yrs old. Hasn’t failed me yet. Probably a little heavy by today’s standards, but can’t force myself to get rid of it.
