A couple 470 questions

OK, I picked this up a few weeks ago, thinking it had potential to be customized to be more to my liking.
I am thinking wood, stag or horn for the handle, and maybe add a guard/bolster.

My questions are:
1) What kind of tang is hidden under that rubber handle? (I have seen a full tang wooden handle version)
2) would it fit in a different sheath, one like the 625 sheath as an example? (I like the idea of the 625 sheath style alot)

The picture shows a 477 blade. The 470 has the same shape it is just a bit larger.

That is EXACTLY the tang information I was looking for
Now all I have to do is extract the tang from all that rubber...and make a handle etc...lol
And figure out what other sheath would fit it decently... I am not fond of the one it came with at all.....

I just saw the photo of your finished knife. Nice job! I like what you did with her.
