A couple Barlows I got today.

I went to a local antique store earlier, and they usually have a good number of knives. Well, I found these two, 2-bladed Barlows.
The black handled one says CAMCO USA on the blade. The other is a Case. If anyone has some suggestions to remove the rust from the CAMCO's pen blade, it's pretty badly rusted (redish brown, not a patina) the large blade has a nice dark patina on it. Sorry for the bad pictures, I don't have a good camera.

Thank you. I don't think I'm allowed to say a price, but I got them for a good deal. And I've been looking for a while to find a good quality Barlow pattern. I'm very happy about getting them.

I'd like to see them but using the link above I keep getting a snickers ad. Lol.

Use the IMG code instead of copying the link.

wow, thats a really nice pair. I havent been able to find one quality barlow in working order at my flea market for years, just a bunch of half broken or hollow handle junkers.

Nice find, I'd be interested to see them restored!

My experience has been the same. Of course, we remain ever hopeful!

Nice finds. Are they both saw cut handles?

To clean off the rust I use various grits of fine sandpaper starting with 320 grit. I work up to sandpaper that is very worn out and I can get to an almost mirror finish. Then I buff it on a wheel using brown rouge.
