Both of these finishes are similar to things you've seen before, but I did something a little different on both to make them stand out from what is normally seen. I call the first an "antique satin." Again, done a little differently than the norm. The second I call "forced wear." I am liking the second one better right now, just because it looks rough and ready to be used. Let me know what you think, and if you have any suggestions feel free to share!

I've been doing the "Scotchbrite satin" on all my sebbys for a while now. I love the look. I even do my micarta ones, kind of looks like a pocket wear finish instead of an all out scotchbrite though.

Maybe on your second go at it, try half the time in the tumbler with the "forced pocket wear"

All in all they look good:thumbup:

CrimsonTideShooter,

Love your forced wear look. I recentley sent my edc large 21 Serrated back for a minor issue and asked them to sharpen it only. The note must of got lost and they blasted it by mistake. It looked great, but my wear marks, that I thought of as my badge of honor by carrying it, were gone. I tried to throw it in my pocket but to no avail, the marks just weren't coming back. Then I remembered I got the best wear marks in my hoodie pocket with flashlight, keys, back up knife and few other things. So I vote forced wear!

Also would love any secrets to expediting this look.

I say damn that looks good..I love the pocket wear, and the scotch bite.
good work, and I like your vids.
