I will be taking about 7 to 8 pieces to the MKA this year. Here is just a small sample. First up is W2 bowie with Blackwood. Twist damascus guard and nickel ferrel both fluted. This is the first time forging W2 for me. "Will be seeing more in the future". Second up is a Koa hunter /copper guard / black & copper spacers and pin /5160 steel.

Very nice Bruce - I am particularly drawn to the hunter. The bronze guard goes so well with rusty golden tones of the Koa and the blade has nice crisp lines.

Very nice, I will see them there. Short drive for me from Butte and i am pretty excited about this show. See you there!

Thanks Everyone, Looking forward to seeing those that can make the show. I know its hard to balance in this economy. Which shows to go to and ones that will just have to wait. This show is really fun for me I always bring home a memory or 2 to log back in to ol bank.

Whoa, Bing! Can't wait to coon finger that bowie. Nice work.
John, Not sure what coon finger is. But I'm sure I will find out:D
See you there.

Nice ones Bing.
Please send my regards to the club. I really miss that show.
Bruce, I will tell everyone you miss them. As I'm sure the feeling is the same.

God Bless all,

will see you all there. we will arrive day before as I recall my reservation is for as well as a day after so we can finish the photo story and then we head south to PKA.

as there is no longer a MKA sponsored dinner, hopefully a bunch of us can figure out somewhere to go out to. Will have CKCA apps available too.

Great knives you got there, Bruce. How did you get the patina on the Koa hunter's guard?

I really didn't do anything to force the patina on the copper guard.

Thanks Again to all those viewing and the kind words.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Bruce,

Not to focus on the negative, and have been trying to be much "kinder" of late, but IMO, you have serious guard problem as in the they are just "out of whack too long or wide(depending upon how you view it)".

Please refer to Bob Loveless or Jerry Fisk designs for guidance in this matter.

Best Regards,
