Hi Folks,
Drove in last evening from North Carolina and the ABS Great Smoky Mountain Hammer-in. I was honored to be teaching "Handles & Guards" but had lots of spare time to really enjoy this event.
Upon arriving home I found photos that Chuck Ward had done of a few of my pieces. You've all seen the bowie that Jon Klein took home and it's received a lot of coverage. I appreciate the fine comments but I'll not post it again here.
These are two blades that sold from my table. The first is a fancy cowboy bowie with mosaic damascus, file-worked silicon bronze liners and damascus interframe handle. The mammoth ivory scales are very reminiscent of stag scales. This is one of my personal favorites:
This next one is made from the same bar of mosaic and took the honor of "Best Hunter." I posted my own shots here earlier but Chuck's are so much better, I couldn't resist:
