A couple in the Scagel style

Hi all, I don't get to many knives made anymore. Here are the last two that I managed to complete.


Scagel Styled Hunter

Blade; 6 inch, convex ground, polished, 52100.

Guard; Nickel

Handle; Stacked leather, nickel, brass, copper, black fiber, maroon and
black micarta with a mule deer crown pommel.

OAL; 11 1/2 inches

Sheath; 8/9oz, 1 piece, tooled leather, Heiser styled sheath.

Blade; 9 3/8 inch, hand forged, polished, convex ground, 52100

Handle; Stacked leather, nickel, red fiber spacer, maroon and black
micarta. The Pommel is a mule deer crown with brass pin.

Guard; Nickel.

Sheath; 2 piece 8/9 oz leather bound with elk hide lacing and domed
rivets.

OAL;15 5/8th inches

Those look great. Thanks for posting as I have been wondering what the caps by themselves would look like on a handle without any other antler in it. Have a couple of caps I cutoff and wanted to use them but wasnt sure how it would look.
 
You should be making more. Those are great. Scagel himself would have to agree.
 
Scagel style and 52100?:eek:
Can it get better than that? My favorite steel and style wrapped up in one package.
