Here are pics of my 3rd and 5th knives. I know that "guthooks" aren't that well accepted on the forums, however some people just like 'em, so... I make 'em.

Very Nice!
I'm guessing that you've had some experience with metal work before you got into knives judging from the pics of your first 2 and now these ?
You've got your own style going here, and it looks pretty cool.
Just out of curiosity, did you use a mill to do the radiused edge where the bolsters and scales meet on your first 2 knives?
You should look into the shop talk forum here from time to time too. There's a lot of great folks in there that can probably help with any questions you might have, and it looks like you could help some folks out too.

Matt, Thanks for the comments . I have had past experience (distant past) in metal working. and no, on the first two knives I didn't use a mill. I scribed a line and filed to it, the first side took me about six hours and turned out perfect, all on the others were nightmares. on my second knife I completely re did both sides 4 times.
In the intrest of saving my hair I have since changed the design and use a dove tail design. I'll post picks as soon as soon as I can transfer them onto a disk.

Oh, I have gotten several tips from the good people on ShopTalk. But haven't come across any questions that I felt qualified to give an opinion on.

As a hunter, I love the little curve on that guthook. It looks like it wouldn't catch on anything.

I like em'!

Matt, ya sometimes I'm pretty stubborn (so my wife says), by the way I gave that first knife to her, she was very happy.

Machael, I thought about the possibility of the hook catching on the gut sack on some of the guthooks that I have seen and thought that that wouldn't be too pleasant, so I put as much curve into it as I could and rounded the point of the hook. also the finger hole and the flat on the ricasso for the thumb give a tremendous amount of control
I'm glad you like it.
