Per my Warthog post, I promised to follow up with a finished product. Was able to get two folder sheaths made this weekend. One out of the new Warthog hide and another from gator. Both turned out really nice. The Warthog is very cool stuff. TOUGH as nails too. Reminds me of working with Cape Buffalo. You can hardly put a mark on it even while wet. Anyway, I'll be sure to share more things as I get them made. This leather would be great for sheaths, wallets, holsters, notebook covers, pretty much anything. Since I am laminating 99% of the time to veg tan, it's always of great interest how a leather is going to burnish and blend. I am happy to report for a chrome tan exotic, it burnishes and blends very well. Not as nice as shark and hippo but pretty close. Hope everyone has a great week!
