I was very lucky to pick up a Shot Show special offered by Sig Sauer.
Buy one of 6 offered SIG 1911 style .45's and get a FREE yes, I said FREE 1911 .22 pistol.
I picked the SIG Tac Ops .45 with the accessory rail. It also came with 4 eight round mags and tritium night sights.
I thought it was a sweet deal. SIG's 1911 .45's are top notch.
Here they are with some other top notch pieces.

Very cool combination. Be careful with the ammo on that .22; apparently the manual says it will ONLY take CCI brand ammo, but I almost bought that same gun.

As for the blades,

The Sig 22 is just a GSG, I have shot several and they've never been picky on ammo. My GSG conversion isn't either

Mosquitos are the ones they say Mini Mags only AFAIK but then again, Sig didn't even tell me about this damn promotion until it became a cluster phu**

They do recommend hi-velocity .22's, over 1250 fps

Yes, that slide is pretty heavy for a .22 so they probably want to make sure the round will cycle the gun.
I wouldn't go with lower velocity .22's in it, or it may turn fun into jam city.

sweet combo bill! I have a GSG 1911-22 that I think is made by the same people putting the sig together, its a blast! I haven't had any problem with standard velocity .22 at all. I use mostly federal val-pack stuff what ever is cheap. well it was cheap anyway. either way it should handle whatever you run through it with no problems! enjoy!
