Despite my disappointment with my last batch of Case knives, I felt a hankering for some new traditional patterns and decided to give Case another shot. Well, I'm glad I did!

The postman dropped off these beauties this afternoon: Mini CopperLock Bermuda Green Bone 61749LSS and Small Texas Jack Amber Bone 63032CV. Fit & finish is excellent, blade-centering acceptable (no rub), decent factory grind.

I like the Texas Jack, but the Mini CopperLock steals the show! Such a nifty little folder with just the right amount of 'yar matey!' swagger :emot-yarr:--loads of character! I haven't been this tickled by a new knife in quite some time.

Anyway, just thought I'd share a few pics (wish I had a better camera to do these knives justice :o.) Thanks for looking!

Best regards,

-Brett

I Love my mini copper lock, (and have been eyeing a tx jack) but its a great little knife!

Congrats!

Thank you, gentlemen! I'm a little surprised there isn't more of a buzz about the CopperLocks!

Almost nothin' puts a smile on my face like a new knife. Since I buy online a lot, I am particularly tickled if I get one I am very pleased with. I grin like something is wrong with me for several days after that.

Great knives. Congratulations.

That's a great description! A Mini Copperlock was my/our family's first traditional (bought for one of my sons when he asked for a knife for his birthday, and going solely on a friend's recommendation). Once it arrived, we all oohed and aahed and brought in a couple more, especially since my son wasn't sharing his. :)

This be mine:

Swagger, indeed.

I also like Texas Jacks very much.

Very nice pair of knives! Thanks for the write-up and pictures.

Thanks for sharing that story, Pertinux! Very nice choice for a 'family knife' and yours is a beaut!

Those are both great knivesl. That Bermuda green bone looks great on the copperlock. I love me some copperlocks, big and small. I have three different versions of the Texas jack; one just like the one you have. Enjoy those knives; they are a couple of my favorite Case patterns,

My latest:

Two great knives, congrats!
The mini Copperlock was the first Case I had bought myself in a long time when I went looking for BSA knives for my younger son when he got his Scout "Totin' Chip".

The Texas Jack is another one of those 'just right in the pocket' knives for me. Not too big or small, and CV steel :)

The Mini-Copperlock gives a lot of blade but without bulk or weight, very useful knife. Good quality on this pattern.

I like the Bermuda Green Bone a great deal, works well.

Thanks! The covers look only vaguely like Case's online pictures of "dark molasses bone" (my first experience with a now-familiar discrepancy):

The orange was especially a surprise-- but is fortunately more subdued in real-life than in the picture I first posted. This one's more accurate:

I do like the knife. :)

You've got good taste. The Copperlocks are a cool and practical EDC choice as far as I'm concerned, very pocket friendly for a Lockback. Also CV and Amber bone is a stylish combo regardless of pattern. My first Case knife was a Texas Jack, so it naturally takes me back.......
