The Ericksons were made by Walter Erickson, though he no longer makes knives. About half of the Ericksons have latchgates like the BM42. Each of his balis handles a bit different, though they are all a pleasure ta flip!! The scrimshaw model has a 6" blade. Very sturdy knives. BTW I had the good fortune to attend Ecole de Cuisine La Varenne a Paris...Paris IS the center of the world!

Mr. Erikson, contrary to popular belief stil lmakes blades. but you just have to woo him into making balisongs.. I don't know where the rumour came from that he didn't do bnaldes no more, but I admit I was part of the group who spread it around (falsely) got he real story when I caleld him.

Called him!!! I've tried to get his number (being my very favorite bali-maker) with 0 success!! I, as you, was told he made no knives ("Snake Bliskin...I thought you were dead?")
