Have been lucky of late with adding into the clan with help from you guys here on BF .
Thanks for shipping across the 7 seas to the Great SouthLand, much appreciated. Without you's I'd still be dreaming.

Never thought I'd fully comprehend the notion of INFI Madness, but I am as per now fully engulfed it seems. INFI and family is making up most of my collection these days and all the others are/have been for sale financing..... well hopefully. :(

These I've shown before.

... and some of these are the new and loving them.

Do have a question re the BA-E with polished Spine.
It's handle is smooth compared to the other Quilted Micarta ones. Was that a factory release or after job?
Also, the SH-E is not polished as the other 2 are, more a DC look, again as per factory release or after job?

These are all I wanted to get and I am very happy with what I have :), ... but there also is the BM-E still lurking somewhere and as always variations to the theme, just never ends it seems.

You SUCK! :p...I just love Ergo's. They are awesome, that smoothie is wicked cool! CONGRATULATIONS!

E's are INFO too! I have a SH-E LE and it's a beaut. Perfect size and shape for an all around outdoors knife.

If I were a betting man, my money would be on aftermarket mods for the Badger.

VERY nice!!! I love all your blades --- the e-handles are WAY under-rated...

Very knice Ergos bro. It's true, they are a highly under rated knife. The BAe has got to be one of my all time favorite small (non-edc) Busses. Fat blade, small enough to get away with carring every day, and it just fits so nicely in my hand. The way the edges were done on the Ergos is also real cool.

I'd have to agree that the slabs look aftermarket. Some of the spines were a rough satin and some appear to have either been more polished at the factory or by the owners. Either way, nice collection.

As I recall, and I'm sure PapaThud will correct my recollection, a lot of the e-models came with the spines polished from the factory. I think it happened when the slabs didn't fit right or something, and they'd just polish the whole spine.

Victoria, (the wife's BM-E), has a polished spine just like the ones shown in your pics, and I know it was not an aftermarket job, because it went from the factory, to PapaThud, and then directly to my wife's hot little hands.

With the E-models came the machined to fit handle slabs, both as a time saver and as a way to have completely coated knives(as well as really cool shaped and patterned handles)

This was also done on some of the later Mean streets, and a few dozen Straight Steel Hearts and a couple of Straight Battle Mistresses I think.

When the fit was not close enough, I believe that the easy fix was to fit the handle to the knife by grinding(the Handle), leaving a polished handle back/front and sometimes spine.

This is what I remember, but I have both slept and drunk since then and do not have current access to my notes to be sure.

Very nice collection mate. Are any of them users??

It would be iteresting to know how many Busse knives have made there way down under. I bet there are a few now!!

nice collection NightHog!

would love to see them in person but you are still half a continent away.

might be in for another holiday

Great looking blades!

Like others, I'm pretty sure the BAe slabs were sanded down. I think they look better smooth:thumbup:

Thanks for the pics!
