A Couple of Firsts

first sub-hilt for me, also first time using this beautiful Ringed Gidgee from Australia......thanks to Steve Filicietti for providing the wood.....13 1/8" OAL, 8" blade of 3/16" 01, all nickel-silver fittings....

Do you know what Steve had to do to get a hold of that wood ? I reckon if you knew you'd pay up twice as many $$$ to get it !! Jason.

Terry Primos posted some photos a while back that Steve had sent him of the outback region where he gathered the wood....pretty desolate out there......
