I do have knives with my name on them.
The knives are being taken to a collector that likes folders.
The first one has Bill Buxton's bolster material. everything else is made by me.

Wow Kim,

Those are outstanding !! I see why none hit the for sale folder "folders" ha ha
They're all spoken for before they are completed. Are those mammoth scales that you made? :D

The pictures that point 7 took are alot better. Thanks for the great comments, I hope the knives sell. If not you will see them posted. :D

I thought that you would like the bolsters. Notice I even gave you credit. Thanks for making them. :D

It breaks the boredom but my partner Gary Wheeler throws more hammers and stuff at me than anything. Keeps you moving in the shop. :D

Honorable Mr. Kim Breed , if you send me the knife on the bottom pic, I will be your servant for.... a month ? Sound good ? :D

The top pic looks like mammoth ivory , are both ? also the pin that holds the actual blade in the bolster (cant recall name) , is that a mosaic ?

Make it 3 and your talkin. top one is oosic.Bottom is blue mastadon with blue saphires. The pivot pin is worked with a file. Glad you liked them.

Thouse are awsome Kim! I realy like the added touch of the fileworked pivot pin. The first is my favorite, it's shape or what, but it strikes my fancy a bit more.

What is the heat coloring on the second knife? Or should I ask...how do you heat color the second knife? Thanks

I hand sand to 1000 before tempering. I just leave the tempering color on. This is 1075 and pure nickle. This method really makes the nickle stand out. :D
