First off, hello everyone, I have been on BF for a while, but I havnt posted here but once, IIRC. I have been the proud owner of these 2 Kuks for over a year, and I am starting to get the bug for more. I am a user, not so much a collector of finer specimans, but HI Kuks are simply some of the best choppers that I have handled. I just stopped in to say hello, and maybe hope that I could get some info on these to trusted friends of mine.
I am sure that the smaller one is a 18.5" WWII, but the bigger one is a mystery to me, I have heavily sanded the handle, its a full exposed tang, and the overall length is 20.5" and the spine is 7/16" at the elbow or bend in the blade.
I really love this one, and it has seen some serious use...and has scars to prove it. I am on the market for a 16" bonecutter next, after handling Bladites recently. I was drooling over it!
Anyways, I hope to learn some in here, and thanks for reading.
EDIT: I almost forgot..the big one is made by Kumar , pre UB, and the WWII ...well I dont know..it has a trident and sun like symbol...?

The Larger khukuri is a Churwa Ang Khola which appears to have had the handle rings sanded off. It would be easier to find the correct kami if you posted a picture of the mark.

Thanks. I sanded the handle to its current shape. The Kuk came to me in pretty ruff shape, so I made it a pure user just for me. It was made by Kumar. Star of David with a K.M.
The WWII has a Trident and a circle with 4 pairs of lines coming off of it, in the 12, 3, 6 and 9 oclock position. I cant post any new photos, these are old ones and I lost my charger recently, sorry.

The sun (circle with wavy lines) is the HI mark.

Trident, IIRC is Murali.

Sounds like it could be Murali's old mark, which was a trisul. It also could be one made by Kami Shankar

Hello to you too:)
I sure use my 17 3/4" WW II a lot also, and I sanded of my rings to make it wasp waisted and it sure is one of my most comfortable choppers, even without gloves:thumbup:
