I like the idea of a combo...but might split the sheaths up....they are pretty heavy as is those NMFBM's....and it is always handy to have a small knife when you have taken the heavy kit off.

Nice piggy backs indeed, you may not want to cross deep water with them but you could always use them if your oars get swept away.
