Here are the latest additions to my HI collection. I can stop buying anytime I want, honest.

I got this one from Seth the other day (thanks again). I've been wanting one of these ever since I got to try out Nasty's at last year's MWKK. This one's 15" exactly and a lively 23 1/4oz, thanks to the Chiruwa tang. I believe this one was made by Murali, as it has the Nepali flag mark and the UB inscription.
Impressions of it: It feels nice in the hand. As Seth said it came sharp enough to shave a few hairs off my arm. After a few passes on each side with my Raz-R steel it shaves plenty of hair in short order. The retaining strap on the scabbard has the State Of Oklahoma seal on the snap. The retaining strap is a bit annoying to deal with withdrawing the blade, but otherwise the scabbard is good with a frog that is firmly in place.
This one's going camping with me tommorrow, so I should have some better pics soon.

This one arrived my my Bolo. Its a custom 22" AK that I had ordered a few months back. As I wanted, it has a 5/8" thick blade, a traditional bolster and a Salyan style buttcap. I had wanted the blade to have a villager finish but it got the magic mirror treatment. No biggie, some scotchbriting for a minute or so and I've got a blade that I won't feel so bad about touching if its needed for the task. Interestingly, now that the blade is villagerized it won't slip out of the scabbard unless you withdraw it for the first 3-4". The handle is evergreen, which makes mine look a lot like the chiruwa AK on the 9/15 DOTD thread. Here's a better view of the handle.

Impressions: This one pretty much came out the way I wanted it to. I had a yearning for the older 3-4 lb 22AKs after reading Cliff's old reviews on his. Mine came in at 3.25lbs (10 oz more than the 9/15 AK) and actually doesn't feel as blade heavy as I thought it would. So far I've got a good working edge on it and will take it to the strops in the near future.
