I don’t get to post as often as I’d like, but here are a couple I’m working on.
Would love to hear your thoughts.

I’m still loving W2 but I’m starting to get into the pm steels as well as some A2.
I recently bought a dewar so I’m going to be able to heat treat more in house so I’m excited about that.

Here’s a forged w2 fighter with a sexy little hamon.
Special thanks to Don Hanson for his advice with the hamon.

I’m going to start offering a kwaiken based off of Matt Gregory’s design as well.
This one is w2 with a tapered tang and reverse tapered ironwood scales. Of course that’s not visible with the wrap, but you’re just going to have to take my word for it.
:)

Trying to decide on whether to use a turkshead knot or not. I’m leaning towards doing it on this one.

Thanks for looking and opinions are welcome.

^ This. I think the knife looks great, and a Turkshead knot will most likely/probably make it look even cooler.

can a turkshead knot be permanently attached to the ricasso so that it will not move under presure? If so, with what? How?

I only know what I was taught about a turkshead knot, but I get them as tight as I possibly can, by hand and then with tools. They barely budge. Then I epoxy them, even go as far as injecting the epoxy with syringes. I’ve had to cut one off before and it was a very difficult process and involved power tools, so I’d say under almost all circumstances, immovable.

Another vote for Turkshead knot. Always makes a cord wrapped handle seem more "finished" to me.

Thanks guys, I finished it out a while back with the Turks head knot. I’ve made a few since then and definitely prefer using the knot. It feels unfinished without it to me now.

I just learned how to do a turk's head, after wanting to for years. Very satisfying, now I'm going to tie them everywhere
