Can anybody flesh out the Stryker 910SBTCG for me?

1. Was this model very popular?

2. When did this stryker with the chisel grind begin production and when was it discontinued?

3. In your opinion, what would be the fair value in the secondary market?

Any other information would be very helpful.

Your friend in knives,

Shawn

all I know about the chisel ground styker was that it was put on clearance by a web retailer (I think it was cutlery shoppe) several years ago, they were going for $50, so I don't think it was too popular.

Dunno about the value, but it's a fair statement that chisel ground blades have not been well-accepted by the knife buying public (with the exception of the original BM version of the CQC7).

If memory serves, it came out around 99, I bought one then. At that time tanto/chisel type blades were very popular and just about everybody had one on the market, even Spyderco. Benchmade had several chisel blades out then, the CQC, the CQC with titanium blade and carbide edge, the 7500 auto, and the striker. I was helping a guy start a internet knife site around this time, and chisel blades sold very well, and the Stryker was a good seller and Benchmade had it in the catalog a good while. Consider how fast BM pulled the Skirmish and other knives I liked. Who knows on value, ebay would be a good place to find out.

i have had a bunch of strykers, mini and full size, and have had a couple of prototypes which were both CG and a std production CG, since the protos are CG and the std one i had which was CG were early made ones imho the CG wasnt offered very long after release, i know you dont see many of them, imho the 'v' grind was more popular than the CG for all the reasons folks always quote, but the cg strykers were RH ground, which a lot arent, and i always liked 'em myself, in fact i edc'd a CG proto for a while and was happy with it, imho the value on a LNIB std production would be ~ $100 maybe $125 or so, i dont think they would bring a premium except from a collector as most folks want the 'v' not the CG, i know the std production one i had the guy valued it less in trade value because it was a CG.............
