Recently added 2 new Sebbie's to double my collection of Sebenza's to 4. Very happy with both.
First, I had been wanting to get a small Lefty Micarta but was having a hard time finding one, but found one place with one after searching for a little while. Was listed as having S30 steel. Would have preferred it to have 35 since I have been reading the the latest Sebenza's shipping had it but pulled the trigger anyway since this was the only small lefty I saw in stock after a lot of searches.
When the knife came I was thrilled to see that it was actually S35 steel! What a nice surprise. It is a double lug as well. Not a flaw to be found on it, like any other Sebenza.
Only a couple days later, I stopped into a shop near me just to look around. This is the same shop I bought my 2010 LE Large Spalted Maple Lefty. Holy Cow, now they have a Small 2010 LE Spalted Maple Lefty sitting in the display case. Owner tells me it just came in between the time I purchased the large and now. Couldn't pass it up, and figured it would make a great companion to my large.
On a side note, I really have to say I love the Regular Sebenza form factor. I find my 2 regular Seb's are far easier to open than either of my 21's. Seem smoother too though they are all ultra smooth. The ridges (bumps?) on the lockbar and grip area do not bother me at all and do seem to help with gripping. Not to say I don't like the 21. I do. REALLY love my new Micarta. Am just saying I am glad the Regular design is still available in limited capacity with the LE's.
Here is a quick snap of the 4 of them. Not a great picture, but only had a pocket cam on me at the time:
