Lately I've enjoyed picking up small knives for my collection. Shown are: Kershaw Translucent Lockbacks, AG Russell Titanium folder, CRKT Shrimp, Cold Steel Mini Recon 1, Spyderco Manbug ZDP-189. The Kershaw G10 Hawk is shown for size comparison. NAA Black Widow and Kel Tec P32 are two of the smaller firearms available. Anyway, just something different from the large folders and fixed blades I normally buy.

Huh. That last photo makes the Shrimp look pretty thick for it's size. What's the blade thickness, and what do you think of the Micro-recon in person?

The blade on the Shrimp is 0.125" thick. Pretty stout with a frame lock to go with the blade. I like the mini recon. It provides a good gripping shape. The only thing I don't like is the smooth, widely spaced gimping on the top of the frame just behind the blade. The Spyderco Manbug has a better solution with the gimping behind the hole. The mini recon blade has a very useful shape in my opinion, and it came very sharp. Plus the Tri-ad lock is solid. The Manbug is a bit sharper, that blade is razor like. I hope this helps.
