A couple of thin D2 Mini Drop Point slicers....

One of these has been posted before but I wanted to post up the pair together. I usually work with thicker stock, but I ground out these two D2 Mini Drop Points from .115" thick stock. They should make nice EDC slicers. They're ground good and thin. The XL is 6.5" overall with white G-10 slabs and a blue liner and the standard mini is 5.75" overall with lightning strike carbon fiber and blue liners and an acid wash finish.

Thanks for looking!

I still wonder why the grind lines dip down towards the tip. Does the blade suddenly get thinner?

Really like them Jonny! you are the Blade / Handle Master

No, I'm not insulting your work. I was just wondering if it was a design aspect.

No, I didn't take it as an insult...otherwise I wouldn't have used the smiley!:)

Sometimes a grind doesn't come out 100 percent right, and that will be fairly common when you consider the blades are ground by hand and that I'm am by no means an expert. During the finishing process you can do a lot to correct grind lines, but on blade stock this thin it can be difficult, at least for me. Besides......it adds character:D

Thanks everybody for the comments!!

Jonny your use of the two colours in the scales adds to the fine overall look of these you're showing!! Nice, Man, nice. Frank

Love them both!

Fantastic color combo's. I don't normally care for carbon fiber, but that lightning strike carbon fiber is stellar!

The blue really makes both handle materials pop.
