First point. This thing is H-E-A-V-Y. I may not be able to lift the HOFBM (if it's ever actually offered) It's heavier than the standard mistress.
.
Question: Did anyone else notice that the black coating is a shinier than before. Is there a new coating? Or maybe just a slightly different mixture than before. (like more vodka, less orange juice. ;) ) I suspect that this may be due to a batch of coating with low grit/liquid ratio (I used to work for a printing company, so I know a little about this stuff), but that's just a guess. Anyone?

i recently just read a post by cliff stamp saying he would prefer a chopper with a 3/8" thick 12" long blade for survival use

bring on the HOFBM and MOAB

HEAVY? That's how we likem. And yes the BM will be offered like that because the demand is huge.

I haven't got the new finish so I don't know, but the original Busses were super smooth finish and I actually prefered that finish to the current crinkle finish which is tougher but not as aesthetically pleasing IMO.

No, it's definately not the same as the old ones, It is pretty similar to the rough coating, but it's not the same. It could just be the batch of coating was mixed incorrectly.

1/2" thick hogmoab baby... that would be a little.. or rather massive slice of heaven.

man... thats gonna be a hard choice. bag carry freindly 3/16" zero tolerence based terror monkey, or ultra heavy fusion battle mistress.... plus the 600$ price tag (combined with the price of the ak47).... it would be both awesome and frightening (financially) if they were offered at the same time...

do you have a scale to see how heavy it is? possibly sneak it into a local grocery store   ... lol - i was joking there, that would be a bad idea. but i am interested in knowing the weight...
