Here are a couple users I recently finished

First one is a customer sketched Kephart design.
I forged it from 1095, clay coated the spine using satanite and did a full quench in Parks #50. A very light vinegar etch revealed a beautiful Hamon (very, very light). She's scaled with WSSI stabilized, chroma-brown Birdseye Maple w/red liner & finished with a 4-1/4" B.L.

Next one is my ever popular GUS Camp Knife
Steel is CPM3V, with a soldered & pinned 416 stainless guard, Desert Ironwood w/red liner on a tapered tang. This one has a 7" B.L.

Thanks for taking a look guys. I hope you like them ;)

I prefer the 2nd one overall, but both look to be beautifully crafted with impeccable fit and finish. I really enjoy looking at your work!

Beautiful David! The tapered tang on the camp knife really looks nice, bet it feels great.

Thanks PJ

Im not usually a fan of a Kephart, but that is a great looking knife!

Thanks Sean

I had never even heard of a Kephart before the customer contacted me :o
He supplied a great sketch for the knife and knew exactly what he wanted. An author, he's writing a book while retracing Kepharts treks through the Smokies, of course while carrying his new knife :)

Thanks xaman  It does indeed feel very good in the hand ;)

Very, very nice work! I would be proud to own them or to have made them.

David,

Nice work! I am not a big fan of the Kephart, but I like this one. I am a fan of the Gus, and this one has nicely figured Ironwood. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Cheers,

Dan
