I just acquired an knife that I thought was an NRA Schrade LB7. Upon examination, I find that it has a tang stamp of CoyOte over PROV. U.S.A.
The knife has green plastic (Delrin?) handle covers with a NRA shield and text imprint in gold ink with three small domed brass cover pins, and a larger brass domed backspring pin, and brass or brass plated front and rear bolsters. The butt spacer is a two piece steel, and no bolster pins show. The blade is 3 5/8" flat grind clip (no swedge) with a vertical heavy brush finish, and the stylized NRA text logo etched on the mark side. It came with a matching green leather flap closure belt sheath, also with the stylized NRA text logo.
I sent an inquiry to Colonial Cutlery, and they confirmed my thoughts that it was indeed a Colonial Coyote CY14 pattern, but had no information on the years of production or quantities made for either the base pattern, or this SFO.
Here is a scan showing it with a very early stock LB7 (#0326) for comparison.

Anyone know the production dates, or have the base CY14 pattern?
