a CRKT KASPER decision....

well i wanna know what you guys think on this - i recently returned a CRKT kasper because of lock problems (failed the spine whack test) - anyway i talked to them and they said i could return the kasper and trade it and some $$ for the new pro model w/the silver handles - i was looking at the zytel kasper tonite, and thought what the heck, and tried the whack test with out the lawks engaged - PASSED- numerous attempts may i add (i know it still could fail tomorrow,,,,,) but anyway what would you do? keep the knife you are SURE will pass the whack test (for whatever thats worth) OR send it in and take a chance that the pro is gonna pass muster too w/out any problems - w/all the problems you read here about the lock problems on the kasper, i just dont know .........i may never see another one that will pass lol.....or maybe the problem is solved, and they all will pass now??

what do you ladies and gentleman think i should do??

Sifu I am having the same dillema as you. If I don't end up trading my CRKT KFF, I think I will ship it along with the $35.00 for the new large profesional, and hopefully they got that little lock problem fixed.

I have not had any problems with my CRKT Kasper. It has endured all sorts of abuse while using and demonstrating the "spine whack" test to friends (while showing off the LAWKS). I would guess that the "spine whack" test failure varies quite a bit and it is likely that, if anything, the new Professional would be improved... Myself, I have had so many offers to buy my CRKT Kasper that I am for sure going to sell it and "upgrade" to the Professional!
 
I'd keep it, and go for the new Model 18. That, I believe, is gonna be one cool knife. And, it has LAWKs too.

... what M-18?

Is it Kasper or Carson design?
