A Curiosity - Pics

Hi All,

I haven't posted in a bit, so here's some pics. You'll notice a curious thing though, on the rear talon, the crinkle is coming off and leaving a smooth black finish underneath. I can scratch it off with my fingernail. Anyone have any idea what this is? It's like it's two layers of paint. Its not a problem tho, I just love this knife, it's the best. Oh and there's more pics for you to enjoy too...

Looks like you batoned with it?
Did you whack it on the butt?

Mate I flog it the crap out of it. The paint off the spine is from cracking big marrow bones for my dogs. And I do baton with it too. It's a beaut! I haven't whacked anything with the butt though.
 
I have the same thing on my stripped ASH1 on the handle...reminds me of how the handle was done on my SHBA. Not sure how this is accomplished, tho.
