The CRK Pacific and Spartan blades seem similar in alot of ways so why is there such a difference in price aside being from different manufacturers?

There is not much a difference in price that I can see. Spartan seems to charge a little bit more for the full size knives.

A Pacific is $325 vs $425 for the Harsey Spartan Difensa. I don't see any reason for the price difference . No doubt a slight nod goes to CRK for design, fit and finish in the folder department.

I've handled every Spartan fixed blade in person multiple times they were very well made.

It's never been stated outright that I've seen. I do know that the PVD coating Spartan uses isn't cheap and they're a much newer and smaller shop. Might be a bit of economy of scale or some differences in production processes that add to spartan's cost. Could also just be price structure.

Both are a Bill Harsey Designs. Different price, but also different specs. Spartan uses a better HT and a coating. While this one is more than a CRK, on the flip side the Spartan Harsey Folder is a better value than a Sebenza at this point, especially when you look at Damascus. Simply different companies and philosophy. Both are among the very best in the industry for good reason.
