In all of my collecting one theme runs true; I'll buy it if it's weird enough or I don't have one.

I've never had much use for the "Electrician's Knife". Issued ones sat in the toolbox unused. I even took one apart and rebuilt it with two cutting blades on long stay in the field back when I was on active duty. But this neat custom by Steve Copeland struck me as something I needed. I've not seen another custom knife in this pattern. The wharncliff blade sealed the deal. I don't know that I'll carry it much, but I'm pretty happy with adding something new to the collection.

Doesanybody else have a custom "EK"?

That's a useful manifesto, there.

I have no electrician's knives, custom or otherwise, but I do like the look of that one.

(Recommended Manifesto Addendum: "...or I like it.")

An Electrician's knife has always been on my short list of interesting patterns to try out. However there are a couple factors that always seem to stop me short:

1. I don't care for the blade/screwdriver combo, something about it just seemed a little unsafe for me personally (I'm accident prone, probably not the best thing for a knife knut).

2. Never been a huge fan of spear points, they hold great utility but a wharncliff or heavily swept clip would have been a much preferred design, at least aesthetically.

But that custom, man oh man.

I don't know about custom, but I have done a bunch of mods on TL-29's. Does that fit your definition?

BTW, beautiful knife!

Looks like a great knife. I haven't reached the point in my buying to get things like custom electrician's knives, but I have to admit that I have eyed the SOG version and have a SAK Electrician. I have always been pretty clumsey and inefficient when it comes to stripping wires.
